Honestly, for a moment, I thought maybe someone had broken into the apartment and ransacked it. But after looking around and seeing no other damage, I knew that either one or both of the cats had been up to no good.
As a cat sitter, my first loyalty is to the cats, so in general, I don't tell on my cats when they are naughty. In fact, I do my best to cover for them. You know that saying "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas," well, I tell the cats, "What happens when your parents are gone stays between us...unless you do something really naughty."
I think knocking a printer off a desk is really naughty, so I had no choice but to tattle. First, though, I had to figure out who did it, and I conducted a thorough FCSI (that's cat sitting lingo for feline crime scene investigation), which included extensive questioning of the cats.
Then I questioned Elephant, who also insisted he didn't do it.
I went back to talk to Ollie again, and he continued to deny any wrongdoing.
But when I questioned Elephant a second time, he started to break. He didn't admit anything, but it was clear to me that Elephant wasn't telling the truth. Just look at the guilty expression on his face.
Elephant only made himself look more guilty when he stood on the printer after I picked it up and placed it next to the desk.
I later emailed his mother to let her know about the printer incident, and she informed me that Elephant was indeed the culprit. While Elephant is very sweet, affectionate and afraid of his own shadow, his mom says, he is also destructive and is responsible for breaking several antique flower pots.
Case closed.

I concur, that Elephant did indeed look very guilty.
I hope you weren't to hard on Elephant. ;)
I tattled on him, but that was it. Elephant is so cute and sweet that he can get away with pretty much anything!
