Did anyone see last night's episode of The Office? Television's most famous cat lady, Angela Martin (marvelously played by Angela Kinsey), happily announced a new addition to her family—Princess Lady.
"She's hypoallergenic, she doesn't struggle when you try to dress her, she's a third generation show cat, her father was in Meet the Parents," the normally dour Angela proudly exclaimed, adding, "Needless to say she's very, very expensive."
How expensive?
Princess Lady set Angela back $7,000. She informed her stunned co-workers that she financed her feline purchase by selling the engagement ring her former fiance Andy Bernard (Ed Helms) gave her, then took them to her desk to show them her new cat—turns out she set up a nanny cat feed. "I usually try to take leave when I get a new cat, but I'm out of vacation days," Angela explained, "and this company still doesn't recognize cat maternity."
I loved the line about cat maternity.
Ultimately, Angela had to run home when she saw that her frisky cat Mr. Ash was humping Princess Lady.
